Police have confirmed that Petty Levels, an influential person, was found dead in Tampa, Florida, earlier this month.
She was 23 years old when she died. Her real name was Mia Armaj Bennett and she was a rapper from Philadelphia. At 1:30 pm, police were called to Northwest Tampa, close to the airport, because someone said they found a body there. A spokesperson for the police department told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the person who died was later identified as Bennett.
A spokesperson said that there were “no initial signs to suggest that foul play was a factor” in her death.
As of now, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office has not said what killed her or how she died. They are still looking into it.
Though, after rumors spread on social media that she had died in Philadelphia, a family member told fans not to guess about her death.
A family member who did not want to be named told the Inquirer, “All of these claims and comments are not true.”
“We don’t even know exactly what happened so if everybody could just please bear with everybody on this subject, I’m begging you, please our family is devastated.”
Bennett became well-known on social media when she was in high school by posting short videos of herself dancing, traveling, and having a good time.
After a few years, in 2018, she began making short rap videos, which helped her fan base grow to the point where she could release her own music.
Bennett was well known for his part on Fredo Bang’s song “Freak” with fellow rapper Latto.
She also put out her own songs, like “Ain’t It” and “Malibu.”
